Well, it's been a long time! There have been both rain and sunshine much in my life. It was like boom boom tiki taka boom boom and flash- Anyway, what I'm trying to say here is that I'm going to PDI/ Dreamworks and excited a lot. Yes.

Skywalker Ranch

Me, Alex, P.J, Carolyn and the Puhalas went up to the skywalker ranch in San Rafael. It's the place where George Lucas' house is and Lucas Film crew work at. I don't know if he still lives there tho. It was located around like umm.. twenty some minutes away from San Rafael down town and totally like.. um.. "ranch" area. I mean it by um.. like.. teletubby world..? Anyway, we had lunch at their kitchen, which was totally home made kinda thingy. I had.. um.. a sort of.. beef..? It was freaking deli-oh my-cious. Not only because of food, but also having it with some GOOOOOD friends. I actually finished Lucas Arts and about to leave SF for Bluesky and the puhalas would take some time off at Brian's place in Portland before they join Bluesky. Alex will go to Paris and then start PDI in May. Yes, it was "may be" the last time we all hang out together in Bay. So, it was a bit like.. you know.. fun, happy, excited but also really sad. Anyway, we went thru a brief tour and took some photo, then.. we wrapped up this last farewell thingy. We, someday, could possibly get united again?

Ratatouille Animation Wrap Party

Youngjae was nice enough to invite me to Ratatouille animation wrap party. I hung out with cool 'exDNAer' friends and buddies from school. Then I said hello to all my teachers. Some of them remembered me for sure but some were just like "who is this guy?" hahah. Well, there are 2 possible reasons, I guess. I might be the one who haven't stood out to them at all or I got too much weight and too big glasses? Andrew Gordon actually took my glasses off and said "Hey, it's you there-" Hmm- Hmm- Wait a second, this post is not about the change of my outlook-! Alright, anyway, I had some fun. Congratualtions to all the animators who've worked on it! Yay- I can't wait to watch the film- Another Brad Bird's movie- Comin' at Cha!

Oh well, I just noticed I gained too much weight. What I tried to gain was mo' better animation skillz tho. It's time to pump up the engine again to survive in this animation game. I don't wanna see PJ saying Lame Lame Lame, this is what I'm sayin'. Rain will pour when I break the prison. No pain no gain. It comes to my brain again. You know what I'm sayin'?

Guys, today the bad news came down here, I want to introduce my friend "PJ". We met in my first-ever animation class called as Maya for Traditional animator taught by Dave Burgess in 2003 Fall. From that time to Pixar classes and here DNA, we've grown up as an animator together. I mean it. T.O.G.E.T.H.E.R. And truly, I think I'm so lucky that I met this guy. Whenever I got whiny or frustrated, he made me calm down and gave me an advice. He recommended me to David Tart the animation director for the Ant Bully. Yes, that was the first step I could join this wonderful animation team at DNA. And he tried hard to correct my stupid pronunciation. He knows what the friendship is. "give and take". So, he took my Korean language class. Yes, honestly, he was a good student. I gave him A+. Very clever, very smart.

You're asking me "so, what?"

We will be apart from each other in only 2 months. Only 2 months. No more the animation combination. No more.

But, I won't forget the night we drank Kamikaze together.

Tonight, it's very coconutty.

A teaser trailer of the Ant Bully finally has been released. Everybody who has seen it likes that Beetle. So do I. And you know what? In the original book, he is shown as the food. Haha.
